I am a PhD candidate at King’s College London and Shakespeare’s Globe. I have just submitted my dissertation, which focuses on the dramaturgy of female roles in early modern history plays.

Other interests include contemporary and historical performance, all-female performance, “gender-blind” casting practices (and the reasons I don’t use that phrase) in Shakespeare and writers, and history plays generally from the early modern period to the present.

I have written program notes and presented pre- and post-show talks for general audiences about Shakespeare performances. You can find one example here. I am always happy to write and present about Shakespeare or other early modern/Renaissance dramatists for groups and companies of any size. Follow the link at the top of the page to email me.
